James Nairne


Mr. Nairne has over forty years of business and real estate development experience, including ten years in renewable energy development.

His background as a CPA and forty years in running businesses and development projects have yielded vast experience and leadership skills.

From 1986 to 1994, while continuing various real estate ventures, Nairne was co-founder and CEO of Maheo Corporation, a California-based juvenile rehabilitation center.  He was foster parent to 78 delinquent juvenile boys, and led a team of 90 employees, including Doctors of Psychology, Master of Social Work and Master Educators in a program of behavior modification with great success.

From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Nairne was Director of Venture Capital for legendary oil baron, Boone Pickens, and in that position, he structured a wind farm development co-venture with Danish wind turbine manufacturer, NEG Micon (now owned by Vestas Systems A/S) and Germany’s Siemens AG.

More recently, Mr. Nairne was the co-founder of Ontario-based Captus Power Corp. which developed renewable energy opportunities in Canada and Montana.

Today, Nairne is developing an industrial rail park and synthetic fuels project in Wyoming, and solar projects in Michigan. Among the more notable real estate projects developed by Nairne and partners are Tahoe Village, a 750 unit condominium subdivision in Heavenly Valley North Ski Resort at Lake Tahoe, Nevada and Lee Plantation, a 1,000 unit subdivision in Fort Myers, Florida.

James lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife of 15 amazing years, Lynn Sugarman.
