Clarice Criss, the Managing Director of the Restorative Farms System will also manage the restorative justice program.
Clarice is a Dallas native who was raised in the South Oak Cliff area. She spent the last 10 years working in different social services sectors as case managers. Most recently Clarice spent two years as a parole officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice working the Southern Dallas area. During this time she learned that so many offenders spend their time incarcerated working on farms and in greenhouses. Seeing all the vacant and abandoned lots in the City of Dallas, Clarice saw endless opportunity to give the formerly incarcerated a purpose and space to use their gifts and skills. By working in abandoned community gardens, she strives to give opportunities for economic development, education and community engagement.
